How can we prevent periimplantitis? Surgical and prosthetic aspects

Periimplantitis has become the biggest treatment challenge in Oral Implantology, with diverse aetiologies and proposed treatments. In this presentation we seek to summarise in a practical way how to prevent and manage peri-implant diseases based on scientific and clinical evidence. We will address the evaluation of the prosthetic component as a risk indicator and describe the use of different soft tissue management techniques, such as the increase in gingival thickness and keratinised tissue, to prevent disease.
